Danish consultancy Kirstein Finans has appointed Jens Lohfert Jørgensen as head of investment consultancy. He replaces Lars Hermann, who has become key account manager at the firm. Mr Lohfert Jørgensen previously worked as director at Agroinvest. Prior to that, he was head of investments at Landbrugsrådet, the Agricultural Council of Denmark.

Nordea has appointed Fredrik Rystedt as chief financial officer and member of the group’s executive management committee. Mr Rystedt has been senior vice-president and CFO of Electrolux Group since 2004. Prior to that, he was head of mergers and acquisitions and chief administrative officer at Electrolux. Mr Rystedt replaces Arne Liljedahl and will start on October 1. President and group chief executive officer Christian Clausen said: “I warmly welcome Fredrik to the Nordea team. His excellent professional and personal skills as well as his proven track record from a complex and international organisation make him a strong asset on our continuing journey.”
AP1, the first Swedish national buffer fund, has appointed Hanna Sahle as quant analyst in its currency department. Ms Sahle joins from the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Stockholm office. The fund is also recruiting an analyst to its fixed income department as well as a performance analyst.

Skagen Funds has recruited Erik Mellgren Barlebo to its portfolio management team. He will join the Kon-Tiki portfolio team, which has a specific focus on emerging markets, and has responsibility for analysing existing and potential emerging market investments. Mr Mellgren Barlebo joins from BankInvest, where he has been a senior portfolio manager since 2005. Prior to that, he worked in global portfolio management at Carnegie Asset Management. Managing director Harald Espedal said: “We are very
pleased that Erik Mellgren Barlebo has accepted the position of portfolio manager. He has a strong background in investments in global companies and will be a great asset to our portfolio management team.”
Skandia Investment Group has recruited James Tew as senior fund manager. Mr Tew will be working in the general management oversight of its investment funds from its three vehicles: Skandia Global Funds, Skandia Fonder and Skandia Investment Management. Mr Tew joins from Standard and Poor’s, where he was global head of fund research for qualitative and quantitative research. He will report to chief investment officer James Millar.
